Preparedness Advisory Committee (PAC)

Mission:
The mission of this committee is to participate in the development and maintenance of a statewide, sustainable public health emergency preparedness program which integrates public health and health care services across organizational and governmental boundaries.

Purpose:
The preparedness advisory committee (PAC) shall provide technical assistance and make recommendations for the planning and implementation of the public health emergency preparedness program for the department. The committee shall advise the department on matters of policy, plan development, funding allocations, and coordination of state, regional and local entities that are responsible for promoting and protecting the health and safety of all Iowans prior to, during, or after a public health emergency or disaster.

It is the responsibility of the membership to provide regular updates and communication regarding the activities and progress made by this committee to the constituents they represent.

Preparedness Advisory Committee Meeting Dates

  • October 26, 2011; 10 a.m.
  • January 25, 2012; 10 a.m.
  • April 18, 2012; 10 a.m.
  • July 25, 2012; 10 a.m.

These meetings are held via Webinar. Emergency meetings may be held at other times to discuss grant applications, priorities, and other business.

Minutes from the last meeting will be posted once approved by the committee.
