Environmental health

The branch of public health that is concerned with understanding how the environment affects human health. The environment is the air we breathe, our water, our surroundings, and our food; it is the chemical, physical, and biological toxins that have contact with us everyday. Understanding how we interact with the environment is complicated, as is understanding how the environment may affect our health.
