Heart Attacks

A heart attack is also called a myocardial infarction. As of 2007, about 7.9 million Americans age 20 and older have survived a heart attack, according to the American Heart Association.

The EPHT program wants to measure Myocardial Infarction Hospitalizations in a standard way over time to better understand the impact across Iowa, to inform the public about hospitalizations for heart attacks, and to aid state and local partners in program planning and evaluation efforts.
