The Iowa Nutrition Network School Grant Program provides low-fat milk lessons which were developed in partnership with the Midwest Dairy Association. These lessons enhance and supplement Pick a better snack fruit and vegetable lessons. Click the button above to find milk lessons for students in grades K-5.
In addition to reaching children with low-fat milk lessons and messages at school, the Network reaches parents through a social marketing campaign called, Their bodies change, so should their milk. This campaign is designed to motivate mothers of children age two and up to choose 1% or fat-free milk. Significant audience testing led to a final product with an emotional appeal balanced by facts.
