The Iowa Department of Public Health Brain Injury Program is currently a recipient of a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration grant. This grant focuses on the following goals:
Goal 1: Improve care access to individuals and families by increasing the capacity of the Iowa Brain Injury Resource Network.
Goal 2: Increase the availability of appropriate support and services for people after traumatic brain injury by expanding the availability of cognitive rehabilitation services in the state of Iowa.
Goal 3: Increase the availability of comprehensive and coordinated services for individuals harmed by domestic violence and individuals who are incarcerated who have experienced Traumatic Brain Injury.
Goal 4: Strengthen the Iowa Traumatic Brain Injury system to enhance further system change efforts.
Goal 5: Enhance Iowa's Traumatic Brain Injury data collection, analysis and reporting system.
Goal 6: Update Iowa's statewide Traumatic Brain Injury needs assessment and develop the Iowa Plan for Brain Injury 2013-2017.
