Bureau of Communication and Planning

The Bureau of Communication and Planning (CAP) has a number of functions. Staff members work with representatives from IDPH programs, to a variety of partners to inform and educate Iowans about health-related issues. The CAP team takes a leadership role in developing the department's strategic and performance plan. The bureau serves as a point of contact for administrative rules and work with the State Health Facilities Council and manage the Certificate of Need program. Finally, the human resources experts in the CAP bureau perform vital services for the larger IDPH team, ensuring that our organization continues to successfully promote and protect the health of Iowans with a competent and professional workforce.
