Access To Recovery - Iowa

What is Access To Recovery?

Access to Recovery (ATR) is a four year grant funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. ATR is a presidential initiative which provides vouchers to clients for purchase of ATR covered services. The goals of the program are to support client choice and increase the array of faith-based and community based providers. ATR - Iowa focuses on serving individuals in recovery from substance abuse.

ATR Announcements and Updates:
  • The ATR 3 grant is scheduled to end on September 29, 2014. As a result, we are no longer accepting applications for new providers. Thank you for your interest and we hope that if a new ATR grant is released and we're awarded, you will consider applying to become part of our provider network at that time.
  • After June 30, 2014, the ATR 3 grant will no longer be enrolling new participants into the program. This is due to the lifetime of each voucher issued being 90 days, and the ATR staff not wanting to create a situation where an individual is able to start a service, but have to discontinue before completion.
