Disability and Health Program

The Office of Disability and Health works in partnership with the Iowa Department of Human Rights, Division of Persons with Disabilities to improve accessibility. Technical assistance is offered to public health programs to assist them in meeting requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

• A brief ADA survey can be completed for public for use.
• The ADA survey focuses on parking, sidewalks, bathrooms and interior circulation.
• Technical assistance on ADA compliance is available.
• Once completed feedback and recommendations are provided.
