Substance Abuse Prevention

County Substance Abuse Prevention Grant

Yearly awards are available to fund counties for substance abuse prevention services such as education, prevention, referral, intervention or post-treatment services. Counties may sub-contract with a local non-profit organization. These funds cannot be spent for treatment services.

Objective:

• To provide additional substance abuse prevention services in each county

Funded counties:

• In FY12, 57 counties requested and received funding.
