Safe and Drug Free Schools Through Supportive Community Partnerships

The purpose of this funding is to provide services to children not served by a formal education agency, and to coordinate with related Federal, State, school, and community efforts and resources to foster a safe and drug-free learning environment that promotes student academic achievement.

Objectives:

• Prevent violence in and around schools
• Prevent the illegal use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs
• Involve parents and communities

Current funding period:

• RFP 2011 - 2012 and 9 agencies currently receive this funding
