Welcome to the FITNET website! This daily publication and this archive are designed to inform and encourage healthy lifestyle choices. There are three main themes. FITNET strives to encourage you to: 1) be active for 30 minutes at least 5 times a week, 2) make healthy nutritional choices, and 3) know your numbers. By knowing your numbers we hope to promote heart healthy activity that improves or maintains blood pressure, weight, heart rate, blood cholesterol levels (total and LDL), and thus reduces coronary heart disease and improve the quality of life.
Although those are our main themes, FITNET will also touch on stress, safety, tobacco, prevention, alcohol, and other areas. In all messages we will strive to offer short, positive and supportive thoughts, quotes, or suggested activities. Again, feel free to provide feedback.
