
The Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention and Management supports the development and implementation of services that help Iowans prevent and manage chronic disease. Programs within this bureau focus on specific chronic diseases including arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and other conditions. The bureau also works on health-reform initiatives and coordinate activities of the state's Prevention and Chronic Care Management Advisory Council.
