Agriculture and Food Systems

The Ag and Food Systems work group of the Iowans Fit for Life Partnership strives to improve the health status of Iowans using a food systems approach.

The ultimate goal of the work group is to increase for Iowans the availability and access to affordable, health promoting foods such as fruits and vegetables. State, regional, and local partnerships are fostered within public and private sectors to address food systems programs and policies. A key partnership with the Iowa Food Policy Council insures a collaborative focus on food system change.
