Iowa Code 148F established licensure for orthotists, prosthetists, and pedorthists as part of the Iowa Board of Podiatry. Members of the Board along with help from the Iowa Prosthetic, Orthotic and Pedorthic Association have created a draft set of administrative rules governing the licensing of orthotists, prosthetists, and pedorthists.
Before the Board officially starts the rules making process by filing the rules for notice, the Board is asking for comment from members of the public and any stakeholders that may be affected by the proposed rules.
